To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of the great artist from Malaga, we invite you to discover Anatomia d'un desig, a show by Fèlix Pons based on the play Le Désir attrapé par la queue by Pablo Picasso. With this piece, Pons sets out to make one of Picasso's lesser-known facets known to the general public: that of a playwright. In 1941, the brilliant painter wrote a text with a surrealist aesthetic that was a cry for freedom, resistance and vindication of the poetic act in one of the darkest moments of the 20th century.
In Anatomia d'un desig, two actors and a musician lead a performative conference that reviews the main events, characters and influences that gave rise to Le Désir attrapé par la queue. During this performance we will immerse ourselves in Picasso's personal and artistic moment during World War II and discover more about the enigmatic figure of Dora Maar, the surrealist painter and photographer with whom he had an intense relationship at the time.
